Windward Lake was created in 1981 by a damn built by Army Core of Engineers. It is a private Lake of approximately 200 acres and nestled in a 3000-acre neighborhood Community. Lake Windward is made possible by a gate-controlled dam. Its sources are several natural creeks and streams, storm drains also direct rainwater into the basin. The lake is approximately 40 feet deep at its deepest point. The tranquility and beautiful shores are maintained by WCSA. Lake windward maintains its quiet serenity by only allowing electric motors.
